Using ancient techniques, Sheila interweaves beads, silver, gems and non-traditional materials to create contemporary one-of-a-kind jewelry. Sheila's background as a graphic designer and illustrator is seen in her striking combinations of color, texture and pattern which are inspired by the vibrant rhythms and variations in Renaissance and Baroque music.

Each bead is carefully selected and individually handwoven to create the lush colors and textures that have become Sheila's trademark. Many of her materials have been collected during her extensive travels to Scandinavia, Holland, Russia, Italy, Spain, Greece, Canada, Mexico, the American Southwest and the Pacific Northwest.

Sheila exhibits and sells her work in juried shows including the Berkshire Craft Market (Great Barrington, MA), the Germantown Friends School Craft Show (Philadelphia, PA), the Morristown CraftMarket (Morristown, NJ), the Morven Museum and Crafters' MarketPlace shows(both in Princeton, NJ), WheatonArts Fine Craft Festival (Millville, NJ) the Noyes Gallery of Art Crafts Marketplace (Oceanville, NJ), the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen shows, and the Covered Bridge Artisans in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

Sheila is a juried member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen. She served as a juror for the 2012 Morristown CraftMarket.
